On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the Tiger Golf Club (TGC) hosted a vibrant “Pitha Utshob (cake festival),” celebrating Bangladesh’s rich culinary heritage. The Kurmitola Golf club’s inner lobby was transformed with colorful Tiger Golf Club (TGC) branding, creating an ambiance that delighted golfers, their spouses, and guests.

The festivities featured captivating “Baul” performances by skilled singers and musicians, dressed in traditional attire and playing instruments like the dhol, tabla, sarangi, ektara, and harmonium. Their melodious songs lled the venue with joy, inspiring spontaneous dances from senior golfers such as Brigadier General Sadeque, BB golfer Mahsud, Engr Selim, Shohid, Zahid, Nasim, and others, embodying the event’s spirited atmosphere.
Attendees indulged in nearly 20 varieties of traditional pithas, complemented by local delicacies like fuchka, naru, moa, duck, and chicken dishes. The presence of ambassadors and distinguished guests added to the event’s prestige.
Special thanks are due to Brigadier General Manzur for his meticulous planning and execution of the program within KGC’s expansive venue. Additionally, the efforts of the spouses, led by Rumana Manzur, in organizing the diverse array of foods, were instrumental to the event’s success.

This celebration not only highlighted Bangladesh’s rich cultural traditions but also strengthened the bonds within the golfing community. We eagerly anticipate featuring this event in our upcoming issue of “Golf & Beyond” magazine and look forward to more such programs in the near future.
Best wishes to the Board of Directors of the TGC and all esteemed members of the Tiger Golf Club.
